The Pinnacle Depth (24m) - One of the most popular dives out of Terrigal. The Pinnacle is a Huge circular mushroom shaped reef that can be easily circumnavigated in a single dive.
There is always plenty to see at this site. Just a 15 minute short boat ride towards Bateau Bay area you'll find an easy to navigate reef .
The Pinnacle you will find large boulders covered in fixed growth that are interesting to explore or you can just potter your way around the site looking for Macro life in all the fixed growth at the site.
Look carefully around the reef as you will find plenty of species of fish life and hard and soft corals.
This is a favourable dive site that you multilevel your dive plan to get maximum bottom time.
The fish life you will commonly encounter at this site includes:
Blue groper, Red Morwong , Yellow Tail , Old Wife and much much more.
Two Poles - Central Coast
Located off north end of Terrigal Beach? Can be a little Surgy at times . A sand gutter that runs NW-SE. Only about 10m wide at the most.
Towards NW becomes rock and then past here it reforms, but still rock. North side steeper. Away from sand lots of cracks that have ladder-finned pomfrets and one-spot pullers.
Lots of Bullseyes at near the bottom where we anchor and if you head out to near where the Seaweed hits the sand sometimes spotted weedy sea dragon.
Can see wobbegongs and some Blue gropers as well cuttlefish. Heaps of gorgonian Fans , very beautiful dive on a good day.
